EADS looking for cooperation opportunity with SQC |

On 20 May 2001, the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) and the Global Services Network (GSN) paid a visit and met with the management of SQC at SQC Office at 25 Bis Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. In attendance at the meeting, there were Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors cum CEO, leader of the welcoming committee, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, CEO of SNT (another subsidiary of SGI); Ms. Nguyen Tran Trieu Thanh – Standing Deputy Director of SQC; Mr. Chau Kin Hang Kelvin – Deputy Director of SQC and several other high-rank officers of SQC. From EADS, there were Mr. Benjamin Murat-Prats, SMO in Vietnam; Mr. Armin Wippich – Global Development Manager of Global Supply Chain; Mr. Jérémy Callens, Project Manager of GSN; Mr. Emmanuel Karm, Senior Manager of Aerostructures & Materials, GSN. At the working session, the leaders of EADS stated that one of the most crucial problems of EADS was to find a stable supply of production materials, especially Titanium sources. Through the global services network (GSN) and several research programs, the product EADS is most interested in Vietnam is Titanium. EADS is willing to further invest into Vietnam in search of long-term Titanium partnership and supplies, and the first company EADS has shown intention to explore is SQC – the leading Titanium company in Vietnam. Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong expressed her delight and pride with the opportunity to cooperate with EADS. She shared her hope that after this visit, the two sides would understand more about the demand, capacity, potentials and competitive advantages of one a another, thus making further discussions for an enduring partnership. On 22 May 2011, the EADS delegation departed for the Titanium slag plant of SQC in Binh Dinh. EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company) is the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial aircraft, satellites, helicopters, missiles and national defence and security systems. EADS includes Airbus and many other aeronautic and space companies. Its representative office was first introduced in Vietnam in 2002. Saigon – Quy Nhon Mining Corporation (SQC), subsidiary of Saigon Invest Group (SGI), member of the International Titanium Associate (ITA), was established in 2006. Its major scopes of business include Titanium and Titanium-based product exploitation and processing, Infrastructure development and trading for the Titanium industry, etc. Presently, SQC is managing the biggest and most modern Titanium slag plant in Vietnam. On 17 December, SQC officially launched its first trading session at Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) with the stock code of SQC.
