SQC-Binh Dinh Football Club and the Inauguration of “Emperor Quang Trung” Football League – SQC Cup I

SQC - Binh Dinh Football Club, formerly known as Binh Dinh Football Club, was transferred to SQC last 1 Oct with the privilege to attend the National First-class League 2010. Previously, Binh Dinh Football club represented the Province to partake and achieve high ranks at V-League 2006, 2007.

From the new season of 2010, the team will compete under the name SQC - Binh Dinh Football Club. Thus, since this season, football fans across the country will witness the strengths and endeavors of a team with traditional sportsmanship along with the financial support a rising company in the market - SQC. The flame in the hearts of football fans in Binh Dinh is once again maintained and lit up.

Together with the delivery of the new team, SQC also introduced SQC - Binh Dinh Football Corporation to manage the team in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation.

Accordingly, for the time being, the team will be situated at Quy Nhon Sports Center and Quy Nhon stadium will be their home field. In the near future, SQC - Binh Dinh Football Corporation will plan to make investments and improve the current infrastructure to increase efficiency and create revenues for the company.

With the precious consideration and support of the local authority, provincial football federation, the department of sports and other departments, SQC - Binh Dinh Football Corporation is committed to trying their utmost to best facilitate the club and help it gain high achievements in the season. The budgets for SQC - Binh Dinh Football Club are expected to reach dozens of billion VND. In addition, the company also ensures an increasingly generous and attractive regime of treatment for the players.

After the Grand opening on December 12, 2009, SQC - Binh Dinh Football Club will partake in “Emperor Quang Trung” League – SQC Cup I. This is a traditional football tournament held annually in Binh Dinh to review the performance of the players and prepare for the new season. This year, the tournament is sponsored by SQC. It will take place at Quy Nhon Stadium from 15 to 24 Dec 2009 with the participation of strong teams across the country such as SHB Danang, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, SQC - Binh Dinh, Khatoco Khanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Can Tho, Saigon, D&T Binh Duong, etc. The tournament promises high professional quality and attracts the attention of the media as well as football fans nationwide.

In July 2009, the biggest and most modern titanium slag manufacture in Vietnam of SQC went into operation in Phu My District, Binh Dinh. The project has the total investment of 1,000 billion VND, producing over 60,000 tons of slag per year (93% purity) and 30,000 tons of high-endurance iron products per year. The Titanium slag products of SQC have the best purity in Vietnam currently.

Last November 23, SQC submitted the application to list 100 million shares at HNX and officially join the stock exchange on December 17, 2009.
