In response to Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) and Investment Newspapers Urge to join hands in the Flood Recovery Effort, Saigon - Quy Nhon Mining Corporation  (SQC), a member of Saigon Invest Group (SGI), participated in "The week towards the Central" from 5th to 7th of November 2010.

Besides the $100 million VND contribution, SQC also had its members working directly with the flood relief team in Ha Tinh province and handed supplies to people in the affected areas (Duc Tho, Can Loc, Huong Son, Cam Xuyen ...). The Flood Relief Team led by Mr. Tran Van Dung, General Director of Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) and representatives of the State Securities Commission, Securities Depository Center and HNX's public companies, securities companies.

The Relief Effort focused on kindergartens in affected areas to rectify damages in nurturing the country's future generations of. Besides, the delegation also supported certain supplies to Mangan Minerals Corporation's employees (publicly traded on HNX). The company headquarter in Duc Tho, Ha Tinh Province, which was heavily affected by flood.

"The week towards the Central", which was organized by HNX and Investment Newspapers, offered directly aids (cash and supplies) to people in affected areas, including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh ... After more than a week (Nov 2nd, 2010), the campaign raised nearly 1.6 billion in cash and more than 400 million in supplies from nearly 100 organizations and individuals. SQC hoped to contribute to the recovery progress of the Central by participating in the program.
