March 25, 2010 - The U.S., France, Australia and Canada consulate’s delegation spent a day visiting SQC Titanium Slag Manufacture, developed and managed by Saigon - Quy Nhon Mining Corporation (SQC, a member of Saigon Invest Group - SGI). This is the biggest and most advanced Titanium mining and processing plant in Vietnam at the present.
At the event, there are appearances of Ms. Nguyen Tran Trieu Thanh – CEO of SQC, Mr. Chau Kin Hang Kelvin (Kelvin Chau – Vice CEO Technology of SQC) and SQC’s entire members. The event took place in a formal, friendly and welcome atmosphere. Besides briefly introduced the plant’s operation, the titanium producing procedure which employed advanced technology, Ms. Nguyen Tan Trieu Thanh also mentioned SQC’s vision, business plan and future projects, especially SQC plan of producing titanium alloy in the near future. The business activity would transform the local economy and create more jobs. The delegation expressed great surprise when touring SQC’s infrastructure. SQC Titanium Slag Manufacture is also an environmental-friendly plant, spending a large budget to invest in the process of environmental protection at the cost of up to 30% of the total investment, according to the quality control system 14001. The environmental protection effort received applause from many delegates.
