On December 15, 2009, in HCMC, Saigon - Quy Nhon Mining Corporation (SQC) held the Conference "About investment opportunities with SQC", with the participation of the representative from Hochiminh Stock Exchange, Kim Long Securities JSC and numerous agencies, organizations and investors in Vietnam and from abroad.

This conference is extremely important to give investors a general overview of the potentials and strengths of SQC in recent time, especially the performance of the biggest Titanium slag Manufacture in Vietnam invested and managed by SQC. Thereby, the latest information of SQC will be announced before the Corporation’s shares are listed at HNX-Index next 17 December.

Saigon-Quy Nhon Mining Corporation (SQC), member of Saigon Invest Group (SGI), was established in December 2006, specializing in Investment in the industrial group infrastructure of titanium deep- processing, Technology transferring, Mining, Processing and Trading titanium ores and post-titanium products, etc.

Saigon Invest Group (SGI) is among the leading public multi-disciplinary groups in Vietnam, operating in six areas: Real Estate - Infrastructure; Telecommunications IT - Television; Finance - Banking; Training - Tourism; Production - Construction; and Energy – Mining; etc. Presently, SGI owns and manages 20 industrial parks, hi-tech parks together with many large-scale projects throughout the country, with the total investment of over $ 2 billion.

Marking the first development in mining and processing Titanium products in Vietnam, on July 24, 2009, in Phu My District (Binh Dinh), SQC held the inauguration ceremony and put into operation the biggest and most modern titanium slag manufacture in Vietnam with the total investment of 1,000 billion VND. The factory was built on an area of 10 ha, producing 60,000 tons of slag per year with a purity of up to 93% (the product purity highest current Vietnam) and 30,000 tons of Titanium slag (purity 93% - so far the best purity in Vietnam) and 30,000 tons of cast iron per year.

This is also an environmental-friendly plant, spending up to 30% of their total budget on the dirt treatment process according to the quality control system 14001. SQC has hired experienced experts from abroad for installation of machinery and equipment. The plant’s machinery and equipment quality is compatible with the natural conditions of Vietnam and very environmental friendly.

Typical projects: My Thanh Titanium Slag Manufacture, Raw ores mining, Infrastructure construction for the Industrial Group for Titanium deep-processing, etc.

Over and beyond, to confirm its brand and strength on the way towards integration and development, to approach international playgrounds, as well as to bring benefits to the society, last October, SQC officially bought Binh Dinh Football team and renamed it SQC - Binh Dinh Football Club with the privilege to attend the National First-class League 2010. The team is being invested in the most appropriate way in the hope that it will gain the highest achievements in the season next year to timely return to V-League.

It can be said that SQC has significantly contributed to redirect the investment business of Saigon Invest Group - SGI from traditional businesses to the heavy industry to bring more added values and create annual revenue of hundreds of billion VND, making remarkable contribution to the general development of the country. This direction of SQC also goes in line with the policies and orientations of the mining industry in Vietnam and the Corporation’s development direction with products for hi-tech use – the common trend of the world.
